Assalamu’alaykum. I am not a Sheikh, but most Islamic scholars consider masturbation to be prohibited or strongly discouraged based on the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah regarding modesty and controlling one’s desires. One of the best ways to avoid such urges is to stay busy with beneficial activities, such as exercising, studying, helping with household chores, or spending time on productive hobbies. It is also important to avoid things that may trigger those feelings, including inappropriate videos, apps, or content online. If you struggle with this, do not lose hope in the mercy of Allah. Everyone faces different temptations and struggles in life. What truly matters is continuing to try, sincerely repenting, and striving to stay away from what leads to sin. May Allah guide us all, strengthen our iman, and forgive our shortcomings.
Many consider it Haram. By scholars like Shayk Nair and Bilal Phillips say it is Makruh. Bilal’s point of view is that for something to be Haram it has to have clear texts that clearly states it is Haram, in either the Quran or the Sunnah. But Doctor Shadee Elmasrey said to me in a pm it’s Haram in all 4 Madhabs.
