Staying in contact before marriage
I am sunni and the guy i started talking is shia. We r friends but we both started to like each other especially me more than him. We both have intention to marry each other but he Believes long distance, sunni shia difference making it impossible so he wants to cut off all contact and thinking allah will bring us back together if he wants. But i want to stay in contact, no call, just texts, no flirting, ntg haram things jyst talking normally and getting to know each other if we r actually meant for each other and can we overcome the distance. I want us to try for marriage cuz allah gave us ability to try not to fully depent on him and hope for miracles but we need to be practical and logical too to get married actually. So in this situation staying in contact like that is way too haram? And trying for future is haram? What should i do?
