SHAYKH, If I keep my money in a bank and receive interest every month for keeping it there, is that haram?
If it is haram, then why? The bank is using my money to carry out its business and other activities, so why is it haram for me to receive a profit from my own money?I have heard that taking interest is like declaring war against Allah. But how can I possibly declare war against my Lord? I really don’t understand this. Why are bank jobs and interest considered haram?

Yes it is haram if you consume riba, give, record, or the witness for it so if at all possible avoid it to the best of your ability. RIBA has destroyed families for thousands of years your gain from it is at whoever the bank is taking advantage of expense. There are also other options look into Muslim banks near you or make sure your not keeping money in the bank to profit off of.
