Serious family issue

I have been married for seven years and I am a mother of two children. My problem is that my husband has been involved in online gambling for the past four years. Despite trying every possible approach—crying, arguing, explaining things to him gently and lovingly—he is not willing to give it up. In addition to this, he is also addicted to watching pornography, which I came to know about quite early in our marriage. I am also subjected to constant accusations from my in-laws, ranging from accusations of stealing to extremely hurtful and shameful allegations. I am physically abused as well. Whenever I tell my husband about it and ask him to speak to his family, he never takes a stand for me. He simply ignores it, as though all of this is normal. Because of the way I have been treated by all of them, I have now reached a point where I am suffering from depression. All I ever wanted was my husband's support, but he has never been there for me. Now the situation has become even more difficult because, due to his gambling, he is unable to fulfill his responsibility of providing for the household. He cannot even properly provide for me and our children. I have therefore started thinking about seeking khula from him. I would sincerely like to ask for your advice: would taking this step be justified in my situation? I feel that I can raise my children and help them build a successful future while living with my parents, whereas I fear that they may not be able to thrive in their father's current environment. Please advise me on what I should do. I am genuinely afraid of making the wrong decision and would be very grateful for your guidance.
