Scalp Micropigmentation Treatment
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,I would like to seek your guidance regarding scalp micropigmentation (SMP).SMP is a cosmetic procedure in which tiny dots of pigment are placed in the scalp to create the appearance of hair follicles. It does not promote hair growth or involve attaching hair; it is used to camouflage baldness or thinning hair.I would like to know:Is scalp micropigmentation permissible in Islam, particularly when it is done to conceal hair loss rather than for adornment?Is it considered the same as the tattooing that is prohibited in the hadith, or is it different because it is intended to camouflage a cosmetic defect?Does having SMP affect the validity of wudu or ghusl in any way?If it is permissible, are there any conditions or limitations that should be observed?Jazakum Allahu khayran for your guidance.
