Purchasing Halal Stocks using Banks or Financial Institutions

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, I would appreciate your guidance on an investment-related matter. I understand that, as Muslims, we should invest only in halal, Shariah-compliant companies and avoid businesses involved in riba (interest), gambling, alcohol, etc. My question is regarding the platform or brokerage service used to purchase those halal stocks. Suppose an investor wishes to buy only halal stocks for purposes such as retirement savings, long-term wealth building, or purchasing a home in the future. Instead of using a random online platform, the investor works with a professional financial advisor or broker who uses established and reputable banks or financial institutions to facilitate the stock transactions. To be clear: The investor is not investing in the bank or financial institution itself. The investor is not purchasing shares of the bank. The bank or financial institution is only providing the brokerage, custody, transaction, or account platform through which the halal stocks are bought and held. The actual investment is in Shariah-compliant companies that have been screened for compliance. Since many recognized financial institutions also provide other services such as conventional banking, loans, insurance, mortgages, and investments, is it permissible to use their brokerage platform solely as a means of purchasing halal stocks? If this is permissible, could you please provide: The Islamic reasoning or fiqh principles supporting this view. Any scholarly opinions or fatwas on the matter. References from the Qur'an, Sunnah, or recognized scholars that explain the difference between: investing in or supporting a riba-based institution, and merely using a service provided by such an institution to purchase halal investments. The reason I ask is that some people argue that using any conventional bank or financial institution in the investment process is impermissible. I would like to understand the Islamic ruling correctly and have supporting references that I can share when discussing the issue with others. Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your guidance.
