“Kafir / Kapir” Meaning
Hello Shaykh, I’m from Malaysia and I’m a Chinese Buddhist. What does the word “Kafir” or “Kapir” actually mean?
I sometimes see people on Facebook comments using the word “Kafir” or “Kapir” when referring to non-Muslims like us. I’m not sure whether it simply means “non-Muslim,” or whether it is considered an insult or a derogatory term.
Could you please explain what the word actually means and whether it is appropriate to use it when referring to non-Muslims?
