Istikhara doubt
Assalamalaikum sheikh! I am a revert to Islam, and Alhamdulillah, Allah gave me hidayat through this specific person who introduced me to this beautiful religion. We are currently in an informal relationship that is not yet halal, and we are facing severe family and logistical obstacles to getting married. I want to pray Istikhara for clarity on our future, but I know Istikhara cannot be made for something haram. Is it permissible to pray Istikhara with the specific intention of seeking marriage with him? Additionally, I am deeply afraid that Istikhara will result in him being removed from my life. Am I allowed to make Dua asking Allah to change our circumstances, make him good for my Deen and Dunya, and bless us to be together?
