Issues with my father
I know it’s haram to talk about others sins but I need advice from someone concerning my situation my father cheated on my mother when I was young and they split I did not have a good relationship with my father as due to ex military and his harsh upbringing he was very prone and anger and was a very rough man in my youth after the split I barely saw maybe once over a month or two sometimes my family struggled with my money due to me being the oldest of four with just my mum and her health issues 2 years ago we really got into it and we dissolved our relationship since then he has gotten older and still has a relationship with my brothers I think due to losing me he softened up though I’m happy for my brothers that they can have that relationship but at the same time I don’t know if I can forgive him for what he’s done and how he’s treated my mother there’s so much more I won’t say but I’m worried that this situation with my father would cause me to fail as a Muslim so I need advice because I don’t know if I could ever see that man as a father as my dad yes but I have no memories of him that weren’t filled with fear and anxiety what do I do shaykh
