Is it haram to have an lbgtq friend?

Salamualakum, I know it sounds obvious but I already know the answer (yes) can u just explains it for me because if someone askes me I can give them a straight answer instead of just saying "I just know", but before all that, are you sunnie or shia cuz I'm shia, oh and also, is it haram to talk to the opposite gender? Salam
