Allah already told us that life won’t be easy:
“We will certainly test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives, and fruits. But give glad tidings to the patient.”
Qur’an 2:155
Then He tells us the mindset to have:
“Nothing will ever happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us. He is our Protector.”
Qur’an 9:51
That’s the beauty of Qadā’ and Qadar. What’s meant for you will never miss you, and what missed you was never written for you. So stop replaying yesterday and fearing tomorrow. Trust the One who wrote both.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Amazing is the affair of the believer. All of his affairs are good. If something good happens, he is grateful—that is good for him. If hardship strikes him, he is patient—that is good for him.”
(Authentic; narrated by Muslim)
And he ﷺ also said:
“Know that if the whole nation gathered to benefit you, they could not benefit you except with what Allah had already written for you. And if they gathered to harm you, they could not harm you except with what Allah had already written against you.” (Authentic)
Final points:
Don’t let social media define your value.
Don’t let setbacks define your future.
Don’t let negative thoughts override Allah’s promises
