Hadith about apostasy
How should we understand the hadith “Whoever changes his religion, kill him” in the case of someone who privately leaves Islam due to a genuine crisis of faith, does not harm or fight anyone, and later sincerely returns to Islam? How does this reconcile with Qur’an 2:256 and 4:137?
