FROM INDONESIAN
Assalamu’alaikum Sheikh, Barakallahu fiik.I’m a 2nd-year high school student from Indonesia. Alhamdulillāh, since my days at an Islamic junior high, I’ve tried my best to stay consistent with my 5 daily prayers, reading the Qur'an for 30 minutes every day, and occasionally praying Tahajjud.During high school, I met a female classmate who is Christian. We’ve been close friends for over a year now. Honestly, we just click so well. She is kind, friendly, and one of the top achievers in our school. We often study together, join competitions as a team, and constantly support each other's academic goals. Here is where I'm feeling torn, Sheikh. Deep down, I'm pretty sure she has had feelings for me for a while, and honestly, I really want to keep her in my life.I’m confused about what step I should take next from an Islamic perspective:Should I actively try to guide her toward Islam (hoping she becomes a revert) so we can be together the halal way?Or should I just practice sabr (patience), step back, and trust whatever outcome Allah SWT has already written for me?I really hope to get some guidance or certainty on this. Jazakallahu khairan for your time and wisdom, Sheikh. 🙏🙏
