Draw
Salamuhalikum, I have a question. I've been drawing since I was born; I was raised and grew up surrounded by it. I was always told I couldn't draw, but then when I asked my Islamic teachers. They told me it was a talent Allah gave me that I had to take advantage of. I searched online and some say not to draw people and/or animals, to draw them but without the eyes, or simply not to fall into the Adoration. Can I simply erase the eyes from my next drawings, but from the previous ones too? These are drawings that I cherish because of the time and creativity I put into them. My hobby of drawing is one of the things that people know me about and something that connects me with others. I understand, I can erase a person's eyes (in a drawing), but in the case of animals, there are animals whose eyes are not noticeable. While I was researching drawing, a video came up saying that if you draw people, they should wear a hijab, modest clothing... But one of the reasons for the hijab is human attraction and I don't think anyone who's okay would be attracted to a piece of paper (other than me not showing it to other people). This has been nagging at me for many years, and it pains me that I won't be able to pursue my passion normally. These past years I've tried to replace it with other creative hobbies, but because of the allergies, asthma, and ADHD forced me to quit. Nothing fills my heart like drawing, and drawing cars, flowers, and landscapes all the time is boring and repetitive, since it doesn't represent anything. In contrast, there are animals and humans...There are different breeds and types, and with these drawings you can ask yourself why, based on their emotions and movements, and send a powerful message through a piece of paper. In return In exchange, not even a waterfall will make me wonder where it is. Thanks for reading.
