Cutting Cake during Nikkah and Walima

Asalamualaykum Shaykh, I hope this message reaches you in the best of health and Imaan. Is it permissible for me and my husband to cut a cake together on our Nikkah and Walima day with our family and friends around? Is this imitating the kufar?
