Converting question

I am 14 years old, from Mexico but living in Qatar since the age of 6. Since the month of Ramadan I’ve been learning more about Islam and been thinking of taking a shahada in the coming years, converting from a catholic to Muslim. I just am pretty nervous to present the idea to my parents, who, not very religious, would still be surpiresed or maybe won’t take me seriously. How can I become better for Allah and how does he view my situation
