Asking for guidance and help about halal and haram
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, Shaykh.I have a question regarding my work. I run a small design business where I create wedding invitations, menu cards, and promotional videos for clients.Personally, I avoid using music because I follow the opinion that musical instruments are not permissible. However, sometimes clients request that I edit their promotional videos with songs or music.My question is: If I create or edit a video that includes music at the client’s request and receive payment for that work, would the income be halal or haram? If it is not permissible, would it be better for me to provide the video without any music and let the client add their own audio later?I would appreciate your guidance with any evidence from the Qur’an, Sunnah, or the opinions of reliable scholars.JazakAllahu Khayran.
