Assalamualaikum. I’d like to ask for some advice. There is a woman I like, but she lives far away. Is it okay for me to love someone who is struggling to move on from her past—to the point where she engages in destructive behavior like heavy drinking? When I asked her, she admitted she likes me too, but there is a sense of hesitation because she is afraid of her past wounds. I have been patient, waiting for her to come around. Should I walk away, or should I keep waiting patiently until she truly heals and returns? I ask this because I am getting older.
After performing my prayers, I have had recurring dreams where this woman is asking for help. What should I do? I apologize for reaching out via Instagram DM.
