As-salamu alaykum. I have a question regarding women visiting Muslim cemeteries.

I have noticed that practices can vary in different communities. Sometimes women remain in their cars or pray from a designated area, while in other places women are allowed to enter the cemetery and visit the graves. I have also seen older women enter the cemetery, sit on benches, and make dua for their deceased family members. I would like to understand what Islamic teachings say about this. Are women permitted to enter a cemetery and visit the graves of deceased family members? If so, are there any specific guidelines regarding how they should conduct themselves while visiting? I am also confused about the relationship between visiting graves and prayer. For example, if a woman is not menstruating, may she enter the cemetery, stand near a grave, and make duʿā for the deceased? And if she is menstruating, are there any different rulings regarding entering a cemetery or making duʿā? I would especially appreciate clarification based on the Qur’an and authentic hadith, because I have seen different practices among Muslim communities and would like to understand what is actually established in Islam versus what may be cultural practice. I am asking this as someone from a younger generation who genuinely wants to understand the Islamic ruling and the reasons behind the different practices I have observed. JazakAllahu khayran for your guidance.
