Are gacha pulls haram?

Shaykh, are gacha pulls gambling if a pity system guarantees you'll get the item after a certain numbers of pulls (80, for example)? You're never left with nothing, just a question of when. Sometimes you get in a single, 10 or maybe 20 pulls, sometimes you need to hit the pity.
